If you’re a construction technology company — or any niche business in commercial real estate — looking to grow your  business, this post will help you learn more about how Biscred connects companies that operate within commercial real estate.

Traditional lead generation methods for your business include:

  • In-person networking

  • Paid advertising

  • Lead services and lists for construction technology

  • Construction tech bidding sites

Our solution enhances those methods, as well as your existing contech data, while finding new opportunities, including areas for providers of software, hardware, and automation solutions, and more.

In a way, this is a pitch for Biscred, because we’ve found it to be the best way to get construction technology leads. In fact, it’s why we built the platform: to connect commercial real estate businesses. The best lead generation websites for contech won’t have the same level of insight that you get with Biscred.

Step 1: Filter by industry

We’ve set filters to only include construction companies. This finds 113,032 companies and 649,408 CRE professionals across the United States (Learn more about Biscred’s approach to CRE industries).

Step 2: Filter by location

With so many leads, it’s important for us to narrow our search to just one region, such as the Mid-Atlantic (as an example, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey) = 16,716 companies and 98,692 CRE professionals.

Step 3: Target by asset class

So, 16,000+ is a lot of potential leads, which is great, but let’s narrow our search to construction companies in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania that specialize in multi-family residential buildings. This narrows the list to 3,438 companies and 27,228 people.

From here, you can further filter based on specific postal codes, building size, and company size.

Bonus Step 4: Try the AI-powered search tool to target specific prospects

Our search took a bit of time, so how can we streamline this even further? Biscred’s AI-powered query builder takes prompts such as “find construction technology companies in the mid-Atlantic region” and quickly applies all relevant filters. Below, you’ll see our AI search in action.

The above example search for “property managers of healthcare buildings in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota” found 86 companies in just seconds.

While Biscred’s smart prospecting is powerful, it enhances, rather than replaces, lead lists and contract bidding sites that you may already use. Biscred can be thought of as a data enrichment tool for your sales and business development teams to use to get greater insights into leads.

Great! You Found Some Hot Prospects … Now What?

With hundreds, maybe even thousands, of viable leads, where do you even begin? The next step begins with your goal: Are you looking for companies that offer contech services, or are you searching for contech leads to do business with? If you’re looking to do business with a contech firm, what is your lead nurturing strategy? What insights do you have into using innovative solutions in a construction environment?

Biscred fuels your greater marketing campaign with up-to-date, valuable data designed for CRE professionals. If you’re still building marketing campaigns, we also offer plenty of resources for learning how to convert prospects to leads and, eventually, long-term customers.

We offer a free 10-part eBook series dedicated to growing CRE businesses. Learn more about growing and nurturing leads in Biscred’s CRE eBook marketing series. The series supports the following five-part process for growing your contech business.

First: Build your marketing tech stack

A marketing tech stack is similar to contech: It’s the tools, automation, and software that your company uses to track and organize your marketing strategy. Biscred is one such example, but there are plenty of other marketing solutions with specialized purposes, such as AI-powered real estate marketing tools/

Using an AI tool helps:

  • Personalize marketing at scale

  • Sort and extract key information about leads

  • Automate any lead nurturing

Other marketing tech, like Salesforce or HubSpot, is relevant across every industry as they help deploy email marketing, organize your engagement with leads, sort customer data, and track the overall progress of marketing campaigns. Biscred integrates seamlessly with both platforms.

Second: Identify your ideal client profile

Building an ideal customer profile (or ICP) isn’t just the biggest business you’re targeting. Rather, it’s the customer ideal for your business’s expertise, goals, and specialization. If you offer high-quality lenses for cameras, the ideal customer may be a drone company specializing in aerial surveying for construction located in the mid-Atlantic region. Will this exact customer exist? Maybe! But understanding the factors that make this example an ICP helps your marketing team filter through all the leads that you find.

Be aware not only of the companies that would be great customers for you, but also the key decision makers in that organization. These are the individuals who influence, and potentially gatekeep, business arrangements between you and that business. Learn more about identifying key decision makers

Third: Use social media to build relationships

Social media still has its uses, even outside of B2C marketing. The B2B social media platform most relevant to you is LinkedIn, because it’s designed to connect business professionals and has an intuitive ads platform. Social media of any form, such as Twitter (X), YouTube, and Instagram, can all potentially generate organic traffic to your business at little to no cost. Learn more about CRE social media lead generation.

Fourth: Build email marketing campaigns

We hinted at this earlier, but email marketing is still one of the most commonly used methods to generate leads. But this doesn’t mean your team has to individually write every email you send. Rather, modern software automation allows you to engage and nurture hundreds of leads with personalized messaging and key timings for sending messages. Learn more about how CRE email marketing works

Fifth: Add paid advertising for contech leads

Paid advertising looks very different today than 20 years ago. Modern paid advertising services are integrated into platforms like the aforementioned LinkedIn or Google. These platforms offer tools to deploy your ads to the businesses and individuals most likely to do business with you. Learn more about how CRE paid advertising works in our eBook so you can maximize the ROI and cost-effectiveness of your campaign.
