Texas Privacy Rights – Exercise Your Rights Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA)

Biscred respects your privacy. If you are a Texas resident, you have rights under the TDPSA regarding your personal data. We process business-related data for commercial real estate professionals, but you can exercise these rights for any data we hold about you.

Your Rights Under the TDPSA

As a Texas resident, you have the right to:

Access: Request confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data and obtain a copy of that data.
Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate personal data we hold about you.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain legal or operational exemptions (such as fraud prevention or compliance obligations).
Portability: Request to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights, including denying services or charging different prices.

How to Submit a Request

To exercise your rights, you may submit a request using the online form on this page or by emailing privacy@biscred.com. Please include enough information for us to verify your identity and process your request.

Verification Process

We will send a confirmation email to the address you provide. For certain requests, such as access or deletion, we may require additional proof of identity (for example, a government-issued ID) to prevent fraud. Any verification information is used solely for this purpose and deleted after processing.

Response Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 days. If additional time is needed due to request complexity, we may extend the response period by up to 45 additional days and will notify you of the reason.

Appeals

If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision within 30 days by emailing privacy@biscred.com with “TDPSA Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to appeals within 60 days.

Authorized Agents

If you are submitting a request on behalf of a Texas resident, you must provide signed authorization from that individual and verify your own identity. Authorized agents must meet applicable Texas legal requirements.

Submit Your Request

Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Requests are processed free of charge. However, we may charge a reasonable fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
